Superintendent Benson read the required oral summary under Government Code §54953: the contract term is two years (July 1, 2026–June 30, 2028); the assistant superintendent’s annual base salary is $193,921; the appointee will be eligible for the same salary increases, health and welfare, retirement benefits and communication stipends as other certificated management employees; and the superintendent’s work year for the position will be 221 work days with 12 days of sick leave annually.
The superintendent said the board voted 4–0 in closed session to appoint the candidate and welcomed Ronnie to the meeting. The employment agreement will be brought to a regular open meeting for final action, after the oral summary requirement has been met.
