Ryan M. Barker was sworn in as mayor of North Ogden during the council meeting. The city recorder administered the oath of office for Barker and for a newly seated council member, and council members welcomed them both.
On routine business the council approved the Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 meeting minutes by voice vote. Later in the meeting the council moved to appoint Mayor Barker to serve as the city’s representative on the Central Weber Sewer Improvement District Board of Trustees; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call with Council Members Dalpaz, Carney, Watson and Pulver voting yes.
Council also set a public hearing for the FY2025–26 budget amendment on Jan. 13, 2026 after staff explained a new code requirement for public notice of budget amendments. Council members discussed timing for hearing public comment and agreed it was acceptable to hear public input and postpone action if they needed time to review comments.
The meeting included brief public comments thanking outgoing officials and general staff updates; staff also said council members would receive access to a Monday.com project tracking board for ongoing city projects. The meeting concluded with staff and council updates and a motion to adjourn.
