The mayor presented two nominees to fill planning-commission vacancies. Council Member Dalopaz moved to approve Phil Swanson and Cassettle Meyer; Council Member Watson seconded. Earlier in the meeting staff and council praised outgoing planning commissioners Nicole Nancer (10 years of service, including one year as chair) and Johnson Webb (five years), presenting plaques and thank-you cards. Scott, a city staff member who worked closely with the commission, thanked the outgoing commissioners for leadership during difficult decisions and described the planning commission as professional and engaged with residents.
Council directed staff to finalize paperwork and incorporate the newly sworn commissioners into upcoming planning schedules.
