Board packet includes resignations, hires, policy updates and a three‑year therapy contract

Personnel: the report listed multiple resignations and retirements effective immediately or at the end of the 2025–26 school year and noted several leave requests; the administration also presented a slate of candidates for hire and ratification for both the remainder of 2025–26 and the 2026–27 school year, including teachers, custodians and coaches. Sample items included resignations (staff and building custodians), child‑rearing leave requests, and new hires with stated salaries and hourly rates; staff said those items will be on next week’s consent agenda.

Policies and management: administrators asked the board to select up to three delegates for the annual delegates assembly (in person, Nov. 7) and previewed the CTC officer ballot process. They reviewed policy updates scheduled for final adoption (CLSD 102, 105, 624, 706) and explained two policies under revision: CLSD 19 (current events) — formatting updates, no substantive change — and policy 9007 (school visitors) — clarified definitions and administrative responsibilities.

Contracts & pupil services: staff requested board approval next week for a three‑year contract through June 30, 2029 with Austin’s Educational Therapy Services to provide occupational and physical therapy support, and described the federally funded summer food service program (paired with an English language development summer camp) with site supervisors and food prep assistants.

No formal votes were taken during the May 11 work session; all personnel, policy adoptions and contracts listed will be placed on the May 18 meeting agenda.
