Board to consider 2026–27 Lebanon County CTC budget and several curriculum approvals

Administrators told the board May 11 that the Lebanon County Career & Technology Center (CTC) approved a $9.2 million budget for 2026–27 and the member districts are now being asked to vote on their shares. "Total district contributions is 6.8 million which represents about a 3% increase overall for Lebanon County; Cornwall‑Lebanon provides 27% of that contribution — roughly $1.8 million — based on enrollment," the presenter said. The administration estimated about 225 Cornwall‑Lebanon students will attend the CTC next year; the district will place the CTC budget on the May 18 agenda for approval.

Separately, the district’s curriculum team reviewed the five‑year curriculum cycle and requested approval next week for two departments that completed writing in this cycle. World languages (19 courses across Spanish, German, Latin and French for grades 8–12) and physical education/health (21 courses including middle and high school electives) were described as revised and aligned for vertical continuity across grade bands. "We worked really hard to look at our vertical and horizontal alignment," a curriculum leader said, adding that the changes will be presented for formal approval at the next board meeting.

No votes were taken at the May 11 work session; both the CTC budget and curriculum approvals will appear on the May 18 consent/approval agenda.
