Mrs. Jean Hens said a set of small change orders for the high‑school renovation (door hardware, an exterior vestibule, auditorium demo and equipment revisions) will appear on next week’s agenda; the slides and board report will include itemized backups. For the stadium, Hens listed general‑contractor change orders totaling $40,116.51, citing work such as removal under bleachers to pour footers, added entrance paving and extended sidewalks, vestibule concrete adjustments, concession finishing, and electrical work tied to scoreboard installation. "All of this will be completed before commencement graduation," she said.
The district also described needed repairs to the State Drive natural turf field after staff observed ruts. The administration solicited three vendor quotes and said the low bid — from Windview Sports Fields — was $15,000 to repair the field over the summer and into the fall so it is playable in spring 2027. The board will be asked to approve the field‑repair contract next week.
No formal votes were taken at the work session; staff said the change orders and the field‑repair contract will be on the consent/approval agenda on May 18.
