Superintendent Bob Rabbitzky told the South Redford Board of Education that the districts owner's representative has been "invaluable" during prior renovations and recommended a new contract to cover the remaining work from July 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2027 to align with the 2021 bond schedule.
Board members asked to receive the draft contract before formal consideration. Jason (district administration) confirmed the draft contract had been circulated previously and said staff would resend the printed contract for members to review. "It went out last week and we can send it again," Jason said when asked whether the actual contract would be provided.
A board member asked whether the owner's representative is paid from bond funds; staff confirmed the position is paid from the bond account and that the district has sufficient bond funding to cover the extension. No formal motion was taken on the contract at the meeting; the item was presented for discussion and for a vote at a subsequent meeting, and the board asked staff to provide the draft contract prior to that consideration.
