At its April 28 meeting the Lincoln County Board of Education unanimously approved minutes, consent items, personnel recommendations, authorization to pay bills, and moved two policies to 30-day review (including a Hope Scholarship provider policy).
The Lincoln County Board of Education recorded several unanimous approvals during its April 28 meeting. By roll-call votes the board approved the previous meeting’s minutes, consent items A–E (including end-of-year student trips), personnel recommendations for new positions and expiring coaching contracts, and authorized payment of bills. Each recorded vote carried 4–0.
The superintendent presented two policies for 30-day review; the board approved moving the policies, including an "education service provider under the Hope Scholarship program" policy that would allow the district to bill Hope Scholarship students for CTE, band and similar services, to a 30-day review period. The policy item was recorded as approved for review by a 4–0 vote.
Motions were logged with movers and seconders where reported: the minutes and consent motions were recorded as moved by Mr. Mosteller and seconded by Mrs. Burns; other motions were similarly recorded and passed by unanimous roll call. No contentious debate or recorded opposition occurred on these routine governance items.
The board also voted to enter and later exit an executive session to discuss a student-discipline matter (see separate item).
