The Williamson County Budget Committee approved several routine departmental budget transfers at its May 12 meeting.
Items approved by voice vote and marked unanimous included a $15,800 transfer within the parks budget to cover maintenance items; a $716 reallocation in the health department from drugs and medical supplies to instructional supplies; a $3,000 shift in public safety from uniforms to maintenance and repair; a $1,000 transfer within solid waste from in‑service to office supplies; and a $1,000 transfer in the sheriff’s budget from building maintenance to data processing equipment.
Each transfer received a motion, a second, and no committee opposition. These transfers were characterized by staff as routine adjustments to move money between line items for operational needs.
The committee then proceeded to review the consolidated FY budget and larger school funding issues.
