Aaron Burgerer of the Neon Museum described Duck Duck Shed as a curated, city-focused program of panels, walking tours, premieres and family events held downtown; he told commissioners the event has grown from 3,400 ticketed attendance in 2022 to more than 5,000 tickets sold in the most recent year and described partnerships with the American Institute of Architects and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Burgerer presented a program budget and said the Neon Museum is reducing its Centennial request by 20% from prior years and is pursuing sponsorships and other partners so the commission need not underwrite the event long-term. Commissioners emphasized historic-preservation links and recommended continued efforts to diversify sponsorships and clarify reporting requirements. A voice vote carried the motion to approve the $160,000 grant.
