The council also directed staff to scope a possible bond package and outreach materials if the city elects to pursue a gymnasium bond question.
The public hearing on the budget was scheduled for June 3 and final adoption for June 10. The tentative approval allows staff to return with detailed fiscal notes so council members can make final decisions with budget figures in hand.
