The Rialto City Council and Rialto Utility Authority approved an amendment to the professional services agreement with Devujan Wells Consulting for $530,510 to provide interim technical and operational support while the utilities division transitions into public works.
Nicole Heman, senior analyst for utilities, explained the amendment is intended to maintain continuity and technical expertise after the recent organizational change and while recruitment/training continues. Stephen Tuja was present to answer questions.
Mayor Prom Scott moved approval; the council voted in favor by voice vote. Staff said the amendment is strictly to supplement operations during the transition and is not an extension of scope beyond interim support.
