At the May 12 meeting, the Richfield City Council announced the 'Bring It Home Minnesota' rental assistance program for low-income qualified households currently renting in the city. The application period opens at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, and closes at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
City staff advised residents to consult the city website for eligibility details and to contact staff member Lynette Chambers with questions. Council also noted a separate temporary utility-bill assistance fund from the Citizens Utility Board ('Lights On Homes Warm') that is available through the CUB outreach team while funds remain.
