Board members and administrators told the audience the next public forum on the topic will be a workshop set for May 19 in the boardroom, where the agenda will include the district budget and a follow-up discussion of the bond and next steps. Superintendent Dr. Outlaw reminded the public the May 19 workshop is a public meeting and invited residents to attend.
The board did not take immediate action on revising the bond at this meeting. Several trustees said more detailed, community-focused outreach and refined communication strategies will be needed before any new proposal is advanced; the district also plans to present budget implications for the next fiscal year at that workshop.
