Pittsburg County EDA approves routine claims, discusses amphitheater fence and road repairs

Ross Selman, chairman, called the meeting to order and, after roll call showed trustees Ross Selman, Mike Haynes and Charlie Rogers present, Charlie Rogers moved to approve the agenda; Mike Haynes seconded. The board approved the motion unanimously. Rogers later moved to approve the April 27 minutes and to acknowledge the claims and fiscal transactions; both motions were seconded by Haynes and approved unanimously.
Selman reported two televisions intended to be installed at the expo arrived damaged. "Two of the TVs that were to be hung were broken in the package," Selman said. He also relayed that Dennis Wilson wants a permanent fence around the amphitheater; Selman said he preferred installing a temporary fence to keep the space flexible for other events.
Haynes urged pavement work at the expo, recommending overlaying the main road into the expo up to the building. Selman added that the emergency management road should also be considered for asphalting. The discussion recorded no formal motions or funding commitments for fence installation or road work.
The meeting record includes a purchase-order register for EDA expo maintenance and operations showing line items for vendors such as SGC Foodservice, Amazon Capital Services Inc., several contract labor payments and multiple utility charges from Public Service Co. of Oklahoma; the register lists a grand total of $7,972.83. No other unfinished or new agenda items were recorded.
Chairman Selman moved to adjourn; Charlie Rogers seconded, and the meeting was adjourned.
