"After we went through the resource revision we noticed that they didn't have all the supplemental materials in there... The attached is a five‑year agreement with the change. So it's not an additional $200,000. It's an additional 18,863," the presenter said, noting the cost covers tiered resources and interventions to support students with individualized education programs and English‑language learners.
Administrators also proposed a two‑year extension for the Seesaw elementary platform (including a new AI component for younger grades) and a one‑year renewal of Read 180 for middle‑school remediation; staff said Read 180 may be evaluated for transition next year. The district is moving several individual teacher licenses to enterprise licenses so all staff can access the tools, and staff cited a roughly $90,000 package spread across three years for one learning suite.
Board members said the administration surveyed principals and department chairs and removed obvious duplicate subscriptions; they requested training and an ability to pivot off underperforming products. The presenter described professional‑development spending such as a Danielson Group summer program (about $4,800) and explained that yearbook costs are shared with families and sponsors rather than borne solely by the district.
No final approvals were recorded during the work session; the items were presented for board consideration and will appear on a future consent or action agenda.
