Clark County animal shelter named Chamber's Nonprofit of the Year; staff report service statistics

Michelle (staff) summarized shelter activity, saying the shelter logged more than 5,250 volunteer hours, distributed over 11,200 pounds of food, provided more than 300 preventive-care services, administered about 2,100 vaccinations, and responded to more than 1,200 service calls and follow-ups. The award was formally presented to Miss Addie, who was on vacation when the court recognized the honor.
Court members applauded the shelter's work during the meeting. No motions or funding requests were attached to the announcement in the public portion of the meeting.
Court members and staff thanked volunteers and shelter personnel for their service.
