Planning office given go-ahead to buy plat scanner after discussion about outsourcing

Commissioners asked whether a private service could perform the scanning instead of purchasing equipment. Rosalie said outsourcing would mean plats leave county custody and that she preferred in-house scanning to keep records on hand and to scan plats as they arrive. "We need to start scanning these in so that we can have digital copies that we could share when requested," Rosalie said.
Mr. Ford moved to approve the item and Jeff Gregory seconded. The motion passed with one recorded no vote from Miss Overman.
