Board backs Wayne RESA preliminary 2026-27 budget; roll-call shows two opposed

Superintendent Mark Greathead provided a budget overview, noting that Wayne RESA projects that 86.5% of its total funding is distributed to local school districts and that the preliminary general fund shows revenues and expenditures with a projected fund balance. Laura Barry moved that the board support the preliminary Wayne RESA general fund operating budget and submit the district's resolution; the motion was supported and carried following a roll-call vote. The meeting record shows two members voted "opposed" in the roll call; the motion carried.
