Marshall said the district will pause committee activity over summer and resume in September, and that the boundary committee will include parents, building staff, students, community representatives and board members.
The guiding principles (11 total) and prioritized criteria focus on durability of boundaries, balancing enrollment across buildings, following natural and man-made boundaries, accommodating growth, and supporting feeder patterns across elementary, middle and high schools. Marshall noted the district aims to recommend options late winter 2026 with potential board adoption in January–February and community rollout to follow, with implementation of new boundaries in August 2027 to coincide with the opening of the new elementary school.
Marshall said the district will publish committee materials and data via an online link for public review and encouraged community engagement and monitoring of the process.
