The Board of Education of Muskogee Independent School District No. 20 voted to accept the April 7, 2026 school election results and declared John David Jameson the board member elected for Office Number One as certified by the Muskogee County Election Board.
John David Jameson then stood, raised his right hand and answered the oath to "faithfully perform the duties" of the office and to support the Constitutions and laws of the United States and the state of Oklahoma. After the oath he responded, "I do," as the board recorded his seating.
In the same meeting the board completed its annual reorganization for April 26โ27 by confirming officer roles: Tommy Anderson as president, Larry Stewart as vice president, Deborah HorseChief as board clerk and Danny Shue as deputy clerk. A motion to approve the reorganization was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
The acceptance of the election results and the reorganization were both approved by motion and voice vote. No roll-call tallies with individual member votes were recorded in the transcript; approvals were recorded as voice votes ('Aye').
The board adjourned after completing these items.
