The Oconto Falls Public School District board completed its annual reorganization at the May meeting, electing officers for 2026 after the board’s standard nomination-and-ballot procedure.
The board followed the customary order of nominations — president, vice president, clerk, then treasurer — with the Chair outlining the process before votes were taken. After the board called for nominations and closed them, members cast ballots. Brian was elected president; Emily was chosen as vice president; Jenny was selected as treasurer, and the board named an alternate clerk to assist with minute-signing and ballot handling.
The reorganization is a routine, procedural step required by board bylaws to establish leadership for the coming year and to confirm which members will carry specific administrative responsibilities and signatures. The vote on the slate was carried by voice vote and announced as carried by the presiding officer.
Board members and staff noted the importance of continuity as new and returning members take on committee assignments and operational responsibilities for the school year ahead. Committee slots left open by a departing member will be filled after members submit preferences.
