Facilities master plan updated; Chesterfield transfer headed to state review

The draft shows modest projected enrollment increases over the next 10 years tied to subdivisions and growth areas inside incorporated towns.
Barericlove flagged parts of the draft that still rely on pending documents and county review and noted the document will be posted for roughly 30 days of public comment before returning for board approval in June; the EFMP is due to the state by July 1. He drew attention to a page listing major subdivisions (Fox Farm, Lowry Farm, Bay Bridge Marina, Wheatlands) that inform enrollment forecasts.
On the Chesterfield Avenue property transfer, Barericlove said the state superintendent was scheduled to consider approval on May 14; he expected no objection. If state approval is granted, the county would prepare deeds and assume utilities and maintenance. Board members asked clarifying questions about program capacities and apparent typographical errors in the draft; Barericlove said he would follow up with curriculum staff to correct capacity lines that appear incorrect in the draft.
The EFMP presentation was informational; the board will have a public comment period and vote on the final EFMP at the June meeting, and staff will return with any corrected pages and the county's review comments.
