Warrick County School Corporation honors retirees, celebrates Teacher Leadership Academy cohort

Board members called retirees forward to receive tokens of appreciation and the audience responded with sustained applause. The list of retirees included educators and support staff from across the district; one honoree invited applause and joked, “MY ARMS AREN'T LONG ENOUGH. THANK YOU SO MUCH.”
Mr. Jason Fischer introduced the Teacher Leadership Academy cohort and described the year‑long program: 21 educators from nine Warrick County schools identified classroom or building problems, developed and implemented improvement plans, adjusted those plans as needed, and presented outcomes last Tuesday. "Your support of opportunities like this are instrumental in fostering teacher professional growth, which in turn leads to improved student outcomes," Fischer said.
Superintendent remarks and other board comments praised teachers and staff for successful certification and workforce outcomes: the board noted that 100 students tested for the CNA credential with all passing and that every student who took the EMT test passed. Board leaders encouraged families to check email and the district website for details about the summer feeding program and posted calendars.
The recognitions segment concluded before the meeting moved to routine business.
