At its Feb. 26 meeting the Oklahoma City Planning Commission took action on a range of items. Notable decisions and motions include:
- Minutes: Received minutes of the Feb. 12, 2026 meeting (motion received and approved).
- Continuances: The commission approved uncontested continuance requests for multiple cases (KC7784, SPUD1808, KCE1156, PUD2110, PUD21108) and moved on to individual hearings for other items.
- Quartershore project plan: Commission adopted a resolution recommending approval of amended Quartershore reinvestment area project plan (see separate coverage).
- Annexation/Detachment: Commission recommended annexation NX2026-00001 (approx. 148.7 acres) and recommended approval of detachment DNX2026-00001 (approx. 24.76 acres) related to an MOA with Yukon; staff and commissioners noted the items will proceed to city council.
- Plats and variances: The commission approved a variance to section 5.2.8B.3A and then approved preliminary plat KC7783 (Prairie 74) subject to technical evaluations; approved PUD 1768 SB02 (Bank First specific plan); approved SV9 variance for Bridges of Moore (applicant Moore Public Schools) to name a private drive; approved SP607 special permit for a multi‑purpose stadium.
- SPUD and SPD actions: The commission approved SPUD 1794 (reduced-lot single-family proposal) subject to alley improvements and street-tree TEs, recommended SPUD 1814 (2020 SW 10th) with TE requiring one parking space per dwelling unit, and recommended SPD 1799 (5401 S. Mustang Road) to city council with a package of technical evaluations addressing architecture, landscaping, building size, access and fencing.
- Deferrals: Commissioners deferred PC10993 (rezoning at 1636 SW 35th) to the March 26 meeting to allow the applicant to work with staff on SPUD/site-plan details.
All recommended approvals will be forwarded to city council for final action unless the item was a final administrative approval. Votes taken by the commission are recorded in meeting minutes and will appear in the council packet for each case as it advances.
