TID board approves Stockwell Road plans, authorizes bid advertisement

The Delaware County Transportation Improvement District (TID) on May 13 approved plans and authorized the county engineer to advertise for bids on improvements to Stockwell Road.
Rob Riley, delivering the engineer's report, told the board the plans and right-of-way work are complete and that the project is awaiting an Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) award typically announced around July 1. "Current estimate for the project is about $950,000," Riley said, and staff expects to advertise for bids within a week, receive bids in June and present a contract for the board to consider at the July 8 meeting.
The board moved and voted to approve Resolution 2026-03, authorizing the engineer to solicit bids. Vice Chair Tracy Davies said, "Good to see the project moving forward," after the vote carried.
Votes at a glance: the board also reappointed its current officers for the May 13, 2026–May 12, 2027 term (motion carried), approved the March 11, 2026 minutes and accepted the secretary-treasurer's report. Those procedural items passed by voice vote earlier in the session.
