Meridian City Council approved a short plat Feb. 24 that will convert two under‑construction office buildings into eight separate office condominium units (SHP 2026‑00001).
Staff told the council the buildings — zoned LO — are under construction and in compliance with prior approvals. Marcel Lopez of Conger Group, the applicant, said the units are scheduled for completion in April and the consolidation into condominium ownership is intended to give small and medium businesses an ownership option rather than long‑term leasing.
"This is a super simple short plat to create the eight suites for ownership rather than paying rent," Lopez said. No members of the public signed up to testify. The council closed the public hearing and approved the short plat by roll‑call vote.
What’s next: The applicant will continue construction and follow recording steps per conditions in the staff report.
