Commission approves two temporary liquor licenses for March fundraisers

Lincoln County commissioners approved two temporary on‑sale liquor licenses at their Feb. 24 meeting for events scheduled March 7, 2026.
Wendy Swer, speaking for the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Foundation, described the group’s seventh annual "Raise the Roof" fundraiser, noting event insurance, security and trained bartenders. The board approved the temporary license after no opponents testified.
Caitlyn Abbott represented Boondocks Bar, which sought an outside‑service license to serve attendees at a cattle‑sale event. Abbott said trained bartenders would staff the service area. Commissioners moved and unanimously approved that license as well.
Both approvals passed on roll‑call votes.
The licenses are limited to the dates and locations specified in the applications and include the standard requirement that event operators maintain insurance and trained staff.
