At its March 26 meeting, the Siloam Springs School District board accepted a slate of licensed resignations, approved several immediate hires, and approved the district's recommended 2026–27 hire list as presented.
The board accepted resignations from multiple licensed staff and then approved immediate hires Jessica Gibson and Brett Suter to begin before the end of this school year. Trustees also approved the broader certified and classified hire list for 2026–27, which administration described as approximately 555 positions; the motion carried by voice vote.
During the personnel discussion, administrators announced two athletic staffing additions for 2026–27: Alex Hairline (hired as wrestling coach) and Brett Souter (director of athletic performance/strength and conditioning). Administrators said Hairline comes from the Rogers area and has previously coached multiple state championship teams; Souter was described as a 29-year-old athletic-performance coach recognized as state strength coach of the year by a national organization in 2025.
Board members also honored long-serving trustee Brian Lamb for 28 years of service, presenting a plaque and remarks. The board approved a sick-leave request and several personnel motions by voice vote during the meeting.
