"LT does have a rental program in which our students pay a $75 bookstore rental fee," Dr. Bane said, noting the fee covers consumable books and textbook loans; students with fee waivers are exempt. Proposed additions included updated AP texts (environmental science, physics), a new zoology title tied to a dual-credit partnership with Oakton College, world-language materials and career-technical texts; drops included older editions and materials superseded by online AP Classroom resources.
Administrators said teachers will use summer workshop time to prepare for new materials and that final adoption and any inventory adjustments will be brought back to the board for action at the March 16 meeting.
