The mayor said the recent election of Commissioner Daniel King and several resignations created vacancies. The mayor recommended appointing Chris Rochio as a regular member of the planning commission, Michael Tan as an alternate planning commission member and Samantha Hutchinson to the parks and recreation commission. A council member moved the appointments, a second followed, and the council approved the motion. The mayor administered the oath to the appointees who were present and asked them to sign the necessary forms.
The motion set the expiration date for these appointments in February 2029. The council gave unanimous voice approval during the meeting; the record shows the appointments were accepted and the appointees sworn.
