Staff recommended rejecting the submission and adjusting the project scope and budget before reissuing the solicitation. Council members flagged urgency because the elevator has failed during recent meetings and public events; staff said the project had been moved up in priority and that summer work (August) was the current target for completion after resolicitation.
The committee voted to forward authorization to reject the current RFB and resolicit to the May 19 consent agenda; the motion was seconded and carried.
