The board cited her community service, including leadership roles in recreation and parks and volunteer emergency service work.
Family members accepted the proclamation. Husband Nick Cashy addressed the board, saying, "With me, we have two of our four kids. Jen's mother, Linda, and her sister Michelle. Very kind words and acknowledgement and really a reminder of all the good people we have working for the county." He thanked the board for the formal recognition.
Board members offered personal remarks about Cashy's leadership and community contributions. The board moved, seconded and approved the proclamation by a unanimous voice vote.
