The Marion County Public Water Authority voted during its regular meeting to move its monthly meeting to the third Tuesday of each month to give staff additional time to prepare and distribute finance reports.
Eric, who presented the scheduling recommendation, said bookkeeping and reconciliation timing sometimes prevent staff from circulating the finance report before the first or second Monday. "It's not going to affect anything other than y'all are not going to see it for another week," he said, adding that the extra week should give members time to review reports in advance.
Board members raised scheduling conflicts: one member noted that the third Monday is the city council meeting and suggested Tuesday would avoid that clash. After discussion, a motion to change the meeting day to the third Tuesday was made, seconded and carried by voice vote; individual roll-call votes were not specified. The board confirmed the next meeting for April 21 at 6:30 p.m.
The change is procedural and does not alter the board's stated meeting frequency or responsibilities; staff said the shift is intended to improve members' access to the finance report before in-person meetings.
