The St. Mary Parish School Board approved a final change order and accepted substantial completion for the Morgan City High School HVAC replacement (phase three) during its March 5 meeting.
Mr. Regard told the board the project has been ongoing since 2022 and that the final change order was necessary because the generator took longer than expected to arrive and be installed. He said the delay caused schedule impacts but did not change contract cost. Board members moved and seconded the change order and the substantial-completion acceptance; both motions carried by voice vote.
The approvals close out the capital work for phase three and allow staff to proceed with final project closeout steps and documentation.
