The Cary Town Council opened its Sept. 25 meeting by recognizing Brandon Pazinski, named the American Public Works Association's National Fleet Manager of the Year. Town Manager Sean Steaggle and council members praised Pazinski and the fleet team for pioneering electric vehicle adoption across public safety, sanitation and other services and for mentoring technicians and building workforce pipelines.
Town Manager Steaggle said the team's work has allowed the town to maintain services even as the last budget delayed vehicle replacements, and noted fleet's role in preparing for the first fully electric fire truck and earlier deployment of EVs in public safety. Pazinski accepted the recognition and thanked his team and town leadership.
