McDonald County Commission approves $115,402.31 in payables, reviews cycling event ordinance

The McDonald County Commission signed and approved accounts payable totaling $115,402.31 at its Sept. 17, 2025 meeting, according to the meeting minutes. Presiding Commissioner Bryan Hall, Eastern Commissioner Jamey Cope and Western Commissioner Rick Lett were recorded as present; County Clerk Jessica Cole was noted as absent.
Commissioners also reviewed a Special Events Cycling Ordinance and directed staff to prepare an application for interested parties to submit prior to holding an event. The minutes record this as a review and preparatory step; there is no record in the minutes of formal adoption or a vote on the ordinance.
After signing checks the commission members conducted onsite observations of multiple county roads listed in the minutes: Honey Creek Road, Old Trail Road, Canning Factory Road, Lone Dove Road, Miller Road, Dallas Road, Prairie Road and Bannock Ford Road. With no further business the commission adjourned; the minutes state the body will reconvene Sept. 22, 2025.
