The Pleasantville Board of Education voted on attorney appointments and related administrative business at its March 3 meeting.
The board selected Bush Law Group as general counsel following presentations from multiple firms. Board members recorded roll-call votes to confirm the appointment. The board also selected Taylor Law Group for labor counsel. During the same session the board accepted a written resignation from Martin Kson (spelled as in the transcript) and approved advertising to fill vacancies, with interviews scheduled for the March 17 meeting.
Multiple firms presented qualifications in general-education, special-education and labor matters, including attorneys who discussed experience with student-discipline hearings, public contracting and labor negotiations. Board members were instructed to submit scoring sheets to be tallied by the board secretary prior to final votes.
