County Treasurer Fuller reported deficits in several county funds, listing Health (−30,361.75), Assessment (−19,751.12) and Law Enforcement (−423,990.21). To address immediate shortfalls, Commissioner Jamey Cope moved to transfer $305,000 from General Revenue into the Law Enforcement Fund and $41,862 from General Revenue into the Assessment Fund. Commissioner Rick Lett seconded the motion and the board voted in favor.
The minutes record the motion as passed and note the commissioners will await sales tax distributions before making additional funding moves. The transfers were ordered effective the day of the meeting.
