County clerk opens four RFPs for recreation department, including grounds management bids

The county clerk opened four Requests for Proposals for the recreation department at 10:02 a.m., reading submissions for athletic apparel; athletic equipment; nontraditional program and event apparel; and grounds management services.

The clerk said vendors filed per-unit pricing for apparel and equipment and provided E-Verify documentation where noted. Named submissions included Court Smith (athletic apparel); Fit to a Tee Promotion Incorporated (nontraditional program and event apparel); Pyramid School Products and BSN Sport (athletic equipment); GoSports Warehouse and Kelsey Soccer (athletic apparel); and Luxe Sporting Goods (equipment and select apparel). The clerk also read additional submissions transcribed in the record under several vendor names that were unclear on the audio transcript.

For grounds management, TruGreen Commercial Services submitted a proposal covering six park facilities listed by the clerk: Haggard Park, Brewer, Phillips Sports Complex, Cliff Mize Park, Diamond Hill Softball Park and Memorial Park. Unlimited Lawn Care submitted a turf management bid with a total of $31,004.72 for the five locations and $71,005.56 in additional services, with a per-location and per-service breakdown included in its submission.

The clerk noted that some vendors provided per-unit pricing only for selected items rather than every requested item; the office treated partial pricing as vendors offering only the items they could supply. No formal votes or contract awards were made during the opening. The clerk said copies of all submitted documents are available from the county clerk's office to interested parties.

No decisions or contract awards were recorded at the session; the RFP openings were a formal readout of submissions and documentation.
