The motion passed by unanimous roll call (5–0).
The board also approved an updated fee schedule. The significant changes approved include:
- Pay‑to‑play athletics: $200 per sport with a family cap of $800 (previously discussed but not formally adopted). - District device fee: increase from $25 to $50 for students in grades 3–12, tied to the district issuing a device and requiring local device management for cybersecurity reasons. - Parking: optional painted parking spot pass to increase from $25 to $50 to cover more frequent sealcoating costs.
"We really tried to listen to our community and limit the burden," the presenter said while describing the family cap and the cybersecurity rationale behind the device fee increase. The presenter noted the district does not profit from fees; they are intended as pass‑through charges.
All votes on personnel items and the fee schedule were recorded as yes by Mr. Dufa, Miss Graaser, Miss Story, Mr. Wooten and Mr. Zimmerman.
The district said fee waiver or reduced options remain in place for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, though extracurricular fee eligibility differs from meal‑assistance criteria and will require administrative follow up.
