The Lacey Township Committee adopted the 2026 municipal budget and approved a series of procurement resolutions covering public-safety equipment, park improvements, vehicles and services.
Budget: Municipal staff presented budget figures on the record: general appropriations of $45,163,824.22; total general appropriations $47,027,876; anticipated revenues $22,241,172.05; and an amount to be raised by taxes of $24,786,703.95. The committee adopted the budget (Resolution 2026-148) on a roll-call vote.
Major procurement approvals (motions moved, seconded and carried): Gridless Power was awarded a contract for security-camera purchase and installation for township facilities ($84,908.60); Warshaw Electric Supply received a contract for additional walkway lighting at Gilly Park ($99,961.03); Cherry Valley Tractor Sales was awarded $191,246.55 for a samurai boom mower; Cherry Hill-based United Ford was awarded a 2026 Ford F-250 with plow ($67,265); Stryker Medical was approved for EMS equipment ($36,252.66); VCI Emergency Vehicle Specialist was approved for ambulance remounts (one award of $9,529 and one large remount for $174,934.16); Cummins Motor & Generator was awarded $44,250 to install a generator for the police department; All Traffic Solutions was awarded a radar speed alert trailer ($17,065.65); Mac Camera was approved for an interview-room recording server ($9,445); Dell Technologies was awarded computer equipment for police ($19,747.02); and a janitorial-services contract was authorized with a 2026 not-to-exceed amount of $112,000.
The meeting record shows votes on each resolution with members answering individually at roll call; the minutes list member responses for most items. Committee members described these as routine purchases and infrastructure improvements for public safety and operations.
The committee also approved a resolution urging state action to address rising health-benefit costs for public-sector employees and several administrative resolutions (a mortgage discharge for an affordable housing deed restriction, appointment of an acting municipal clerk, and FMLA leave for a clerk's office employee).
