Commissioners approve CDBG subrecipient agreements, Derry Township loan and social-service allocations

For Derry Township (Buck Run bridge), commissioners approved a county participation amendment capping county participation at not more than $52,695 and authorized a short-term loan of $421,558 from the county’s improvement program to get the project underway; Derry Township will reimburse the county and the loan term runs to June 2027.
Nick Wolf notified the board of an annual JCJC (Juvenile Court Judges' Commission) award used for juvenile salaries; the board approved acceptance. Kristen Price described a modification to the previously executed engineering and architectural agreement for the YMCA pool ceiling clarifying that the county can only be reimbursed up to $60,000 and the YMCA will cover costs above that amount; the board approved the amendment and staff said construction bidding should occur soon with construction anticipated to begin in August.
County staff (on the MATP matter) explained a final reconciliation for fiscal 24–25 that reduced the county’s total to $476,080 and presented an initial allocation for fiscal 25–26; the reconciliation and the initial allocation were approved. Staff said MATP will add psych rehab and clubhouse transportation beginning March 1, increasing trip volume and prompting the higher initial payment request.
All measures were approved by voice vote.
