Council postpones Patterson Plaza restaurant permit after sanitation concerns

Council members raised multiple questions about cleanliness and sanitation because the building currently has no plumbing and only electrical service. According to Caputo, the applicant proposed a portable cleaning station for handwashing and utensil cleaning, but that feature was not in the original plan submitted to the Planning and Zoning (PNZ) commission.
Caputo said the council postponed the bill for first reading and sent the petitioner back to the plan commission to resolve sanitation and plumbing details; the item is expected to return at the May 26 meeting with additional information.
