The Bogota Board of Education approved a set of routine agenda items during its May 12 regular meeting, including the open-session minutes from the April 28 regular meeting and grouped resolutions in education, personnel, finance and building and grounds.
The chair moved each grouped resolution and the board took roll-call votes. The chair announced that each motion carried. During the personnel resolution (7.16), one trustee stated, “I have to abstain from 7.1 and 7.5, but yes to all the rest,” and the board proceeded to carry the resolution with that abstention recorded.
The grouped approvals covered education agenda items 6.1–6.10, personnel items 7.1–7.15, finance items 8.1–8.12 and building-and-grounds items 9.1–9.5. The board indicated the motions were carried by roll call for each resolution; no further debate or amendments were recorded on these grouped items.
The board also confirmed the next regular meeting is scheduled for June 16 at 6 p.m., when the district will recognize teachers of the year and retirees.
