The board also approved assistant cafeteria manager positions at both cafeterias for the upcoming school year.
The board approved interagency and vendor agreements that the administration recommended. The district authorized a memorandum of understanding with Greenwood Community Schools to share a blind and low-vision teacher for students who need those services. Members also approved an MOU and a renewal of the after-school care contract with Brave Beginnings LLC, a provider of special education and related services that the district said they had piloted this year and planned to expand.
Other routine items passed on voice votes, including listed overnight and out-of-state student trips and a packet of consent items. The board handled personnel business in one motion that covered resignations, new employments and coach appointments; trustees recorded the personnel approvals as passing by unanimous voice vote.
Board officials did not provide a detailed budget breakdown tied to the meal-price increase at the meeting, but members said the change was intended to keep the district competitive with peer districts while preserving free breakfast access for students who qualify. The board did not set an effective date beyond stating the prices apply for the 2026–27 school year.
The board approved each item by voice vote and the meeting proceeded to staff recognitions and the superintendent's report.
