Personnel and hires: The commission approved annual pay increases for Aging Services employees—Edith Yellow (to grade 3 range 5), Alyssa Taves (from grade 2 range 8 to grade 3 range 7), and Amber Anderson (to grade 3 range 2; head cook for Bainville congregate meal). The board also approved seasonal hires for the weed department beginning June 1, naming Brooke Solum, Ian Snyder, Henry Colvin, Ivan Colvin, Warren Sager and Aiden Drake; leaders said summer hires are budget-limited and typically end by the county fair in August.
Claims and procurement: Commissioners approved claims totaling $198,074.53. A requested purchase of 15 Toughbooks for the sheriff’s office was tabled pending a second bid from Montana Association of Towns.
Appointment: The board appointed Gary McDonald to the planning board and noted plans to update planning rules, including wind-energy regulations. The motion carried by voice vote.
