Roosevelt County commissioners voted to approve an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services that will funnel state reimbursements to Faith Lutheran Home.
During the discussion the board reviewed recent fuel-oil-and-gas receipts for the quarter: total regional collections were cited at $4,800,000, with $2,200,000 distributed and Roosevelt County’s share about $863,805. Commissioners described how locally collected tax dollars—listed at $279,998.12 in the discussion—are leveraged in the IGA and the state will reimburse Faith Lutheran Home $364,939.46 under the program described in the resolution.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the agreement by voice vote; no amendments were recorded at the meeting.
The vote authorizes county participation in the program described by the agreement; staff did not present further implementation dates or reporting requirements at the meeting.
