Financial reports and ratification: Nikki, a county staff member, presented invoices due through May 20, 2026, totaling $575,825.68 (65% general fund, 34% RMS, 1% escrow). Commissioners moved, seconded and approved ratification of the invoices. A credit card and cash requirements report for purchases from March 26 through April 24, 2026, totaling $7,766.49 was also accepted.
Personnel and salary board actions: The board recessed into the salary board and approved minutes from the April 30, 2026, salary board meeting. Commissioners approved eliminations at RMS/TDA (a clerk AR position and an operations/support service clerk position) and added a part-time waymaster position. Personal actions recorded and approved included the hire of Jennifer Geiss as a full-time corrections officer ($24.76/hour, effective 05/24/2026) and Patrick Racy as an RMS equipment operator (pay grade 6, $20.34/hour, anticipated start 06/08/2026).
