Plan Commission recommends Pure Paradise Salon Suites at 440 Quadrangle Drive

The Bolingbrook Plan Commission on Sept. 17 recommended approval of a Special Use Permit to allow Pure Paradise Salon Suites to occupy tenant space at 440 Quadrangle Drive.
Planning & Zoning Administrator Jake Schmidt said the proposed use would convert space to 43 individually leased salon suites in the B‑4 Commercial Urban Development district. The applicant, Mohammad Majid, described the model as higher‑end salon suites with weekly rates estimated between $250 and $275. Schmidt told the commission that tattoo and massage uses would not be permitted in the suites and that sufficient parking exists on site: 162 spaces provided against a combined code requirement of 133 for the mix of uses.
Staff recommended approval with the condition that suites not be leased to tattoo or massage uses. The commission accepted the Findings of Fact and voted to accept staff's recommendation. The vote was recorded AYES: Commissioners Inez Flores, Calvin Wright, April Palmer and Vice Chair Lon Schank; NAYS: none; ABSENT: Chairman Ali and Commissioner Michael Shay.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the Village Board for final action; staff noted operating hours would be seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with individual suite tenants scheduling appointments independently.
